Meet Melissa
Melissa Shaw is a digital strategist whose passion is customer-centric marketing. She loves to untangle complex business challenges by immersing herself in a brand, examining everything from performance data, to the customer experience, to goals of various business constituents, and cross-channel marketing strategies. She takes a lifecycle-based approach, honing in on customer needs throughout that lifecycle, and letting the data tell a story about opportunities for incremental revenue.
A proud "Type A" perfectionist, Melissa is committed to making clients look like rock stars. The hallmark of her work is that it's data-driven, substantive, and highly customized. She's known for driving ROI from the email channel, and integrating it within the broader digital ecosystem. She collaborates with clients to set a clear strategic direction, identify measurable goals, and create realistic and achievable implementation plans.
Melissa has developed and optimized hundreds of high-impact email and lifecycle marketing programs for top brands including Alaska Airlines, BMW, REI, Virgin Airlines, Costco, Wells Fargo, Chanel, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Specializing in email marketing since its inception in the last nineties, Melissa has over 15 years of experience, including five years at Responsys, Inc. where she built and directed the strategic services practice. Melissa holds a B.A. in International Relations from Whittier College.
